My Daily Bread

Keep Moving Forward

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14 NIV

In order to move forward, we must release the things that bind us to the past. What was in the past is already gone. We should only take the lessons we learned from past mistakes, then strain towards the goal. What goal? To be with Christ Jesus and spend eternity in heaven.

God has the best future planned for us. If we keep holding on to our past, we won’t be able to move on to that future.

Past mistakes are already forgiven by God. Don’t be bound to them. Learn, forget and set yourself free. Move on heavenward towards Christ Jesus, and don’t ever look back.
